About Us
R M Eaton Stonemasonry has been established since 1988. Proprietor, Mark Eaton has over 40 years experience, from starting his apprenticeship in 1980, he now leads a dedicated award-winning team of skilled masons, carvers and conservators.

We are a family run company in the heart of Derbyshire, skilled in many areas of stone conservation, working with many different types of stone and specialising in bespoke commissions. You can find us either re-creating like for like missing masonry elements, on churches or historic houses to carving plaques, animals or letter carving house names in many stone types. Using traditional skills we also specialise in working with lime, either burning lime ourselves to make hot mixes or using various hydraulic limes to make different mortars for pointing or repairs, depending on the application.

Often recommended by the Peak Park Conservation team, and with past projects where we have worked closely with S.P.A.B and Historic Houses Association, we have the experience of dealing with the conservation issues that often arise with restoring historic buildings.

We select, mason and fix the stone ourselves, which provides continuity and quality control throughout the process. Advice can be given on all aspects of projects, from consultancy and design through to fixing. We are also able to put together a cleaning programme for internal and external facades.

R M Eaton Stonemasonry operatives are CSCS, IPAF and PASMA certificated.
